August Social Ride – Ken’s Trails

Our August social ride will be held on Sunday 21st and will explore the eastern section of trails in the Walmer State Forest, aka Ken’s Trails. These loops are marked orange and blue and have been used for rounds of the Victorian Enduro series in the 2000s. The trails showcase the undulating and rocky terrain of our local area, while featuring some epic flow track into isolated gullies. The ride length will be around 20kms with options to add a few kms for more experienced riders.

We will meet at the carpark at the corner of Daws and Dalton Roads, Castlemaine at 9:30am.
Depending on numbers and experience of riders we may be able to break the group into two to cater for a slower paced group.

Either way you can expect a ride of 20 plus kms over some classic singletrack in varied terrain, with a duration of around two and a half hours. We have a no-drop policy, no one will be left behind.

A Rocky Riders (or other AusCycling) membership is recommended so you are covered by insurance while riding. Riders without an Auscycling membership, do so at their own discretion. If you are not in a position to sign up for a full membership the AusCycling 4 Week Free Trial could be an alternative option to cover you or you can take out a Auscycling Lifestyle Membership for the month for $9.00.

In order for us to manage riders to ride leaders ratios please purchase a free ticket.
